The post DEAR COVID BUSTERS first appeared on Studio Nomade.]]>コロナ禍、本当にひどいですね。 2021年1月31日現在、世界で累計感染者数は、1億人を突破し、亡くなった方の数は220万人を超えています。 ダイアモンドプリンセス号で新型コロナウイルス感染のニュースが出たとき、1年後もこうして世界が苦しんでるとは思いもよりませんでした。 まぁ、半年でおさまるだろうなんて、楽観していたんですけどね。 甘かったです。 経済は滞り、生活は疲弊して、みんな中止・延期・自粛・自宅待機に辟易しています。 それでも社会が何とか回っているのは、新型コロナウイルス感染の可能性も顧みず体を張って仕事をしている方々のおかげだと思います。
「DEAR COVID BUSTERS」は、BENNIE BECCAが、COVID-19に立ち向かう英雄たちへの感謝の気持ちをストレートに歌った曲です。 爽やかなアップテンポのいわゆる応援歌ではありません。 COVID-19に立ち向かうための一歩を踏みしめる足音が、重々しい重低音のリズムで表現されているように思いました。 そして、「No more crying No more fears」という歌詞に、人々の切実な叫びが込められていると感じました。 心地いい曲ではないかもしれません。 でも、悲劇に鈍感になりつつある僕らをもう一度奮い立たせてくれる一曲だと思います。 是非、聞いてほしい。
